Look, I’m not going to waste your time talking about all the neat
stuff at Comdex that would make anyone go Wow (A Cell Phone on your wrist,
or any Monster size Gas Plasma Display, Etc.). I’m talking about the stuff
that makes you go Wow, because of its reasonable price and usability.
We’re taking about stuff you not only can use, but also may just
need; and best of all, the price is in the real world.
When I walked into the booth from Linksys I was totally Wowed! This
company is listening to what we want and need.
And they know how to price it. Check
out their reasonably priced Cable/DSL router that functions as a Firewall
(you’re nuts if you connect to Cable or DSL without a Firewall).
Then look at their 20 gig add-on hard drive that you just plug into
your network. What! No network?

Cell phone from Ericsson. Yes,
you can get it wet. No more
destroying a phone because you used it with wet hands, or got caught in the
rain. Lets face it, I live in
Sunny Southern California and over the years I have had two Cell Phones
turned into paper weights because I used them on a rainy day (yes it really
does rain in Los Angeles). Ericsson
also has lots of other neat stuff, like a phone with a built-in FM Radio or
another one with an optional keyboard, for short messaging.
Remember I said WOW, because all this stuff is not only neat, it has
a real world need, and the prices are real too.
