DirecPC lets your computer rocket through the web as fast as you can point and click, mounting up the system was not to hard, only aiming the dish war a little tricky, due to the (SCREAM) method of aiming " Honey do you see a picture yet? Picture you say? Yes the system we are testing allows you to watch DirecTV to. Oh Boy Lots Of Channels + Rocket internet speed, YEA BABY!

We'll back to the setup after about 15 minutes aiming the dish we moved into the office to setup the computer, using a Windows 98 machine setup was a breeze, and it worked great, BUT when we tried to network it, it turned into HELL!

Using this system on a stand alone computer is a snap, things run great. but trying to put it on a network is tough. The main reason that is was tough, we were on hold up to 6 YES That's 6 Hours, and then when we spoke to a tech it took an additional hour to determine that the WIN Modem that was installed in our computer was not compatible with the system. Needless to say Tech Support SUCKS at Hughes.

A word to the wise: Read and understand the manual before you install the system, be sure that you DON'T have a WIN modem in your computer and installation will be a snap!

On the bright side now that that's out of my system,

After finding out who to talk to about Networking the system "Elk River Softworx, Inc." we got the boss on the phone in a little under 30 seconds, and boy what a help he was. The boss helped us walk through the setup of our network, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM it was done, and works like a champ! Our hat is off to Elk River Softworx, Inc for their help and for allowing us the opportunity to work with such a great company, they took a real bad situation and made it a good situation, and saved Hughes Butt on this one. As we were going to chuck the dish in the trash due to our frustration with networking the system.

At this time we are very happy with the DirecPC system, and feel that this is the wave of the future so go get one, you will be happy you did.
