So what do you have in the living room? A TV, DVD, VCR, Cable Box, Stereo, Cd Player, Tape Deck, and more??????

We all know about the “All In One” remotes that are out there, but unfortunately they do not always work with everything you have. Especially some of those older “Entertainment Centers”. Or first you have to turn on the TV, then turn on the stereo receiver amp, and switch it to DVD, then turn on the DVD. Each time selecting the component you want, then turning it on etc. It seems like it takes for ever jut to watch that move. And then to up the volume, you push the tuner button. But to fast forward the DVD, you have to push the DVD key to go back to controlling the DVD.

Don’t you wish that your remote control could know what piece of equipment needed to do what when you wanted to watch a move, either from Cable, VCR, DVD, or what have you. Well with the Harmony remote you can. This is not an “all In One Remote” it is truly a “Entertainment System and Component Controller”. You tell it what you want to do. Such as watch a DVD. It then knows by how it was set up what it needs to do. In the case of the one we played with, by pushing one button, this remote turned the DVD player on, then turned the Turner/Amp on, and switched the input to DVD. All with only on button pressed! Further more, the controller knew that if I pushed volume up or down, to send the command to the Amp. For fast forward it knew to send the command to the DVD player.

Setting the unit up should not be to hard for most folks. You just go online to their web site. Create your “Account” and then connect the remote to your computer by USB. But the great thing is, if setting the remote up is just to much for you, the technical support guys can do it for you! And you can even download a TV guide to the remote! WOW!

Let me tell you this is the only remote for the person that has all those audio video toys.
