Yes, it is OK to use a credit card online.
In fact it’s the best way to pay for anything online.
This holiday shopping season just remember some basic rules about
shopping on line.

If you have common sense. Use it.
2.)
If Not.. Remember if it sounds to good to be true.. It is.
3.)
If ordering online. Always use a Secure Server.
4.)
If ordering online. And you don’t know if your on a Secure Server or not.
Don’t order
online.
5.)
When in doubt. Order by phone. Not
by computer.
6.) Always pay by credit card. Never
cash, check, C.O.D... etc..
7.)
If you don’t know the seller (like on a action site) use an escrow service.
8.)
Print out copies of all your online orders.
Print a copy of the advertisement or
offer itself. Make
sure you have proof and a paper trail of what it was you agreed to.

Again Credit Card, Credit card, Credit card.
Not Cash!
So is it
safe to shop the Internet. Yes, but
follow the rules. Feel safer doing
it in person at the Mall? You can
still get ripped off. The Nando
Times reported on 11-24-99, about a store clerk at Bloomingdale’s steeling
credit card numbers.
In short, weather
you shop on the Internet, or in a store.
If you have common sense use it.
