Rip Off Alert!
If You Buy Or Sell On The Internet You Must Read This!

By Mike Lipshultz

If you think Buying or Selling over the internet is safe if you use an Escrow Account or Service then think again!

Every year Millions of dollars are lost….  Correct that…  The Money is not lost.  It was flat out stolen, from both Buyers and Sellers of goods over the internet though the use of fake Escrow Services.

Even though MSNBC and others started to sound the warning bell over this in 2002 (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3078510/ ), most folks have no idea this is going on.  I will admit I had no idea this was going on until just this month when someone tired to pull this Scam on me.

So, what saved me from falling for it?  Well I was the Seller and the Buyer wanted to ignore my instructions to use PayPal, and that I would not ship out of the United States.  So, I played it safe and refused to use the Escrow Service he was asking to use.  When he got more insistent on using “ESafe-Holdings”, I simply Goggled “ESafe-Holdings”.  And let me tell you, my eyes almost fell out of my head when I saw victim after victim of this “Escrow” service.

Yes, my friends the internet can be a scary dangerous place, full of crooks and thieves, just like the real world.  But unlike the “real” world help and assistance in the Internet world is just a mouse click away.  Anytime you have any doubts about an escrow service just “Google” it.

See the results yourself for a Google search on “ESafe-Holdings”.

If you really believe you have a legitimate deal, but want to make sure you are using a really safe “Escrow” service, well my advise to you is to hire a locale attorney with a great reputation to serve as the Agent/Escrow person in the transaction.  And even then I would make sure that you have it in writing that if you get ripped off, the Attorney will have to make good on the deal.

Remember, trust your gut feelings if you don’t feel good about the deal.  And remember, yes, people do  lie, cheat, and steel, even the nice sounding ones!
