D-Link Makes D-Camera
A nice little camera for you and all for under $130.00!

Looking for a Web Camera?  Looking for an inexpensive Digital camera for taking those snap shots?  Looking for an inexpensive digital camera for putting pictures on the web?

Then we have "D" Camera for you.  "D" Camera?  Hey, we are just having some fun with you, but we still have a nice little camera for you and all for under $130.00!

The DSC-350, from D-Link http://www.dlink.com/products is as little as it's price.  The unit weighs in at about 4.4 ounces  (I have mailed letters that weigh more then that) It is about 3 1/2" long, 2 1/2" tall and just under 1 1/2" wide.  As little as this unit is, it is big on features.  It has 8 Megs of memory so you can take 145 shots in high resolution mode (640x480), but the unit can be set at a super high resolution mode of 1024 x 768, or a low resolution mode of 320 x 240.

Get the picture, No?  Then how about just over 4 minutes of video?  Need a web camera for video conferencing, or just creating your own Web Cam site?  This unit works for that too! Not bad for your $130.00.  Need more?  How about nothing more to buy!  Thank You D-Link!  They put everything you need in the box.  No running to the store to get this or that.

The unit comes complete with the Camera, Batteries, Strap, Case, USB Cable, Stand (for using the unit as a web cam), and not only the software you need for the camera, but photo and video software from MGI.  It's so nice not to have to run to the store to get this or that.

Now, it took me about 15 to 20 minutes to hook this to my computer, load the software, and get it all up and running.  My computer did freak out twice so I had to reboot when it locked up.  So, why did this happen.  Hey, it's a computer.  Who knows?  The thing locks up at least every other day.  In all honesty I believe it was just my computer being difficult, as I did not do anything to "solve" the problem other then rebooting two times.

So, with all this positive stuff, what's the negative?  Customer Support.  It is only available from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. I personally believe that every company should have 24-hour customer support.  That said, if you just remember to install the unit between those hours, customer support would be there if needed.  The only other thing is this unit has no flash on it.  Should it?  Yes, flash would be very nice, but if you check the competition in this price range you will find this unit offers more than it's competition in a lot of areas.

So, if you need a Digital Camera for any of the above reasons, the DSC-350 is hard to beat, and it's easy on your budget.

For being easy to use, and coming complete with everything you need, BizNet Online Magazine gives the DSC-350 the A-O.K. Award!
