The Big Show…….. CES
Talk about information overload.

I just got back from CES.  Talk about information overload.  I have so much information to go though, and stuff to tell you about.  The neat thing is I’m not at a loss for where to begin.  Two products hit me with such a WOW! I just have to tell you about them.

The first one is from a company called Nomadic Solutions (, It’s a little thing called Cyberlegs.  The first thing I said to myself when I saw this thing was WOW.  I immediately knew what it was, why it was needed, and then I thought “whatever took so long for someone to think of this?”

So, just what is Cyberlegs?  It a neat set of legs that every Lap Top Computer owner needs.  Think of a camera tripod.  Now you know what the Cyberlegs look like.  It’s a small set of folding legs that attach to the bottom of your Lap Top Computer.  So that you can sit anywhere and not have to balance your computer on your lap.  No more hot laps from fast running Lap Top Computers.  No more having to try to hold the computer in place with one hand, look at your reference material with another, then tying to type with a third…. Oh, wait, we only have two hands…. That’s what makes Cyberlegs such a long needed gizmo.  Now I spent some time talking to the president of the company (and the inventor) Mr. Evert Oldham.  He came up with Cyberlegs because he (like the rest of us) needed a way to hold his Lap Top Computer, without putting it on his lap.  The fact that this unit was designed and built by someone who needed it and uses it shows.  The angle at which it holds your unit is just right.  It attaches quickly and easily.  You can leave the “adapter” piece on your computer if you wish.  It does not interfere with placing it on other surfaces.  The unit is very light, and comes in a bag designed to fit right onto your computer bag.

This unit is so right on target and such a WOW item we give it both our On Target and WOW Awards.

The next thing I saw was a very little item.  Or should I say little is size.  The company even calls it the world’s smallest computer.  I think they’re right and so does the Guinness Book of Records.  So, what is it?  It’s a complete computer/PDA the size of a watch. The unit is from a company called Matsucom, Inc., and is called the “OnHand”. Better then being the smallest, from what I saw this unit is also fictional and just plain works (I’m looking forward to doing a full review)! Talking about fictional, the unit comes with a cradle to attach it to your Desk Top or Lap Top Computer.  The unit will sync-up with most of the popular programs like Microsoft Outlook 97/98/2000, Microsoft Schedule 7.0a and 7.5, Symantec ACT! 3.0, 4.0, and 2000, Lotus Organizer 97GS, 98 and 5.0, Goldmine 2.5, 3.0, 3.2, 4.0 and 5.0, and 3Com Palm DeskTop 2.0 and 3.0, WOW!, It even has an Infrared Data Port!

So, is this just some fancy trade show prototype that is never going to see the light of day?  No! It’s real.  In fact, it has been on sale in Japan under the Seiko name for some time.  Want one of your own right now?  Then you need to check out their web site at: to order one.

For truly being the worlds Smallest Computer/PDA and such a WOW, BizNet OnLine Magazine gives the OnHand our WOW Award!

In closing, I would like to say that both of these companies are relatively small in size.  I believe that this was the first trade show for both companies.  Their booths were very small and simple.  But boy did they have a crowd around them.  Just goes to show you…. Build it and they will come…
